Ministry of Interior: The Requirement Of Immunization, Starting From Sunday 22 Dhu al-Hijjah, To Enter Activities, Events, Governmental, Private And Educational Facilities

The Ministry of Interior said today, Tuesday, that based on what was submitted by the authorities regarding the measures taken by the Kingdom as emerging corona virus (Covid-19), and for the purpose of preserving public health; It has been decided the following:

First: The requirement of vaccination – approved by the Health Ministry– starting from Sunday, 22 Dhu al-Hujj 1442 AH corresponding to August 1, 2021 AD, with regard to the following:

A) Entering any economic, entertainment, commercial, cultural or sporting activity.
B) Entering any scientific, social or entertainment event.
C) Entering any governmental or private establishment, whether to perform business or audit.
D) Use of public transportation.

Second: The return of education department in the presence of male and female teachers, and members of the teaching and training staff of universities and the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, and the ministries of (Health and Education) agree to define the target age groups of students.

Third: Using the “Tawakkalna” application to track the immunization status of citizens and residents.

Fourth: The concerned committees shall issue, each within its jurisdiction, explanatory data for the mechanism for implementing what was mentioned in the above articles, including the relevant controls and conditions.

The source stressed the need for everyone to adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures, and not to be complacent in the application of health requirements, maintaining social distancing, wearing a mask, and continuously disinfecting hands, and adhering to approved protocols.

He explained that all procedures and precautionary measures are subject to continuous evaluation by the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), according to the developments in the epidemiological situation.
