Suspension of Iftar and I’tikaaf in The Two Holy Mosques And The Iftar Individually
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced the suspension of the Ramadan Iftar travel and I’tikaaf at the two holy mosques.Sheikh Dr Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, General President for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques confirmed that during he held a meeting remotely the readiness of the presidency to receive worshipers and pilgrims during the blessed month of Ramadan.

He also stated that with the incorporation with the Emirate of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, will work to provide individual breakfast meals for the people who will be visiting the Grand Mosque and that due to the continuous raising of mashrabiyas and containers, two hundred thousand water bottles will be distributed daily.

Al-Mataf courtyard will be devoted only to the pilgrims, while 5 chapels inside the Grand Mosque will be designated for prayer in addition to the eastern square. The Prophet’s Mosque Affairs Agency stated that breakfast provided will be limited to dates and water for those fasting this year, and it is not allowed to bring any food or drinks to the Prophet’s Mosque. The breakfast will be individual, and the agency will coordinate to provide the individual breakfast with the competent authorities.
