Reducing Tarawih In The Prophet’s Mosque As Precaution During Ramadan
The Prophet’s Mosque Affairs Agency revealed the procedures to be followed during the blessed month of Ramadan, in line with the precautionary measures to confront the Coronavirus. They explained that the most important precautionary measures is to reduce the number of salutations in Tarawih prayers to 5 and to close the mosque after half an hour of prayer.


The precautionary measures included the prohibition of accompanying children under the age of 15, the prohibition of serving suhoor meals in the mosque, its squares and facilities, and the suspension of i’tikaaf. They indicated that the affairs agency along with the relevant authorities, will provide breakfast for those fasting, and allow the new western squares to be used for prayers.
