Deported Expats Can Return To Saudi Arabia Only On Hajj or Umrah Visa

The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that any expatriate who has been deported and banned, cannot return to the Kingdom.

The statement came in as a response to one of the beneficiaries' inquiries, stating, “How many years have I been banned from entering the Kingdom, after I was deported by the sponsor 3 years ago?” The announcement which states that expatriates who have been deported can not return to the Kingdom except for the purpose of Hajj and Umrah only was given by the official Jawazat account who responded via Twitter.

Jawazat earlier clarified that the family visit visa can be extended online through the Ministry of Interior's Absher (Individuals, businesses) account which should be done 7 days before the expiry of the Saudi visit visa.

Medical insurance is mandatory in order to renew or extend the Saudi visit visa. The Jawazat also revealed that a family visit visa cannot be converted into a residence visa.
